Mateo Ramos | Wheaton IL Piano Teacher
Mateo Ramos is a pianist, composer, and producer with more than 15 years of musical experience. He is currently finishing up his Bachelors in Music Composition and Theory with a Minor in Production from Elmhurst University. At a young age, he has already composed the soundtracks for multiple video games as well as an award-winning short film.
Mateo has shared the stage with jazz legends such as Vincent Herring, Gordon Wycliffe, and Carl Allen, among others.
He is the recipient of multiple scholarships, including the John Belushi Scholarship, a full-ride scholarship at Elmhurst University, and the GenNext Scholarship, awarded at the world’s most important music event, the NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Show.
As an educator, Mateo is well-versed in classical, jazz, pop, and other musical literature. Mateo has developed a method that helps students learn the music they love, and combines technique, theory, and ear training across multiple musical genres while focusing on individual goals. Each lesson is designed and personalized to the student, helping students achieve their goals regardless of the musical path they choose to pursue.
