Bojan Kolevski | Wheaton Piano Lessons
Bojan Kolevski is a graduate of Saint Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje, Macedonia where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music, Piano. Bojan is a highly skilled & experienced pianist and keyboard player, who has played in front of over a thousand people multiple times. Bojan has more than 13 years of teaching experience in various educational settings K-12. He grew up as a classically trained pianist, and he also has excellent skills and technique to play and teach Classical, Rock, Pop, Jazz, Folk and other musical styles.
Bojan has performed at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York, New York. Bojan has performed as a pianist and piano accompanist in the group National Theater in Bitola, Macedonia with whom he also toured the nation of Canada. Bojan has had the privilege performing with Bitola Chamber Orchestra, Rock Symphonic Orchestra and Coverland Chamber Orchestra in Bitola. In addition, he has also performed in the Steinway Piano Gallery in Hinsdale, IL.
Bojan holds many awards from international and regional competitions. In addition, he has taught award winning students in European competitions. At the European Union of Music, 48th Competition for Youth, his student Vladimir Popovski won 1st place in the piano competition (2010). At the European Union of Music, 49th Competition for Youth, his student Bojan Georgiev won first place in a duo piano & violin (2011).
Bojan is an active performer with “Curious Grace & Black Rabbit”, a band with whom he recorded his first album here in US and where he is a composer and arranger. Bojan has also performed with other various groups in Chicago. He performed with the band Monistra starting in his college years, and recorded the album named “Monistra” as their keyboardist. He also performed as a piano and keyboard player in the band “Live Five” and later “Rock N Rollers”, where he toured Macedonia and the Balkan.
Bojan also has a very rich choral experience performing as a bass singer and piano accompanist in Dragan Suplevski Choir, Linkestis Choir, Butelion Classics Chorus and Stiv Naumov Choir, which had tours in Bulgaria, Greece, Dubrovnik, Turkey and Macedonia.
Back in Macedonia, Bojan worked in a State Music School where he was among the most active piano teachers.
Bojan’s goal is to impart students with all his knowledge and love for music. Furthermore, he desires to continue his professional development to continue learning. In addition, he loves playing music, be it Classical, Rock N’Roll or any genre.
