I still remember the day that my parents signed me up for my first music lesson. It was the summer right after Kindergarten. I had been involved with sports from an early age, and my parents really didn’t have the time to start anything new. Summer break proved to be the ideal time for a new activity. The lessons I took that summer sparked an interest and love for music that has stayed strong to this day.

We want to provide that same opportunity for the aspiring violin, viola, cello and bass students of Wheaton, Carol Stream, Glen Ellyn, Lombard, Lisle, West Chicago, Naperville and the other suburbs DuPage county.

This summer, we are launching a Suzuki Violin Class at the Jerry Evans School of Music, right in Wheaton! The class is designed for students between the ages of 4-7. Our curriculum centers around the Suzuki Method. Students will start by learning to play music by ear. As the class progresses, they will learn the basics of reading music. For a more in depth breakdown of the Suzuki Method, feel free to follow this link.

Classes will be for one hour, once a week. The class is just eight weeks long! Don’t let parental summer travel or summer camps keep you from signing up for this dynamic and energetic class. We want to work around your schedule to make sure that we can make this class as awesome as possible. The more the merrier!
